The Idea for the coverphoto was nog from Mick Rock but from Ken Henderson.
He made this picture for a band called KIP long before the Queen album came out.
The band went to Londen with a mocked up album cover for a record contract but did not get it. It was the same record compeny that contracted Queen.

good morning, I was married to Ginny Whitaker,now deceased, when she ran Strike Force Management, Stevies Rays management co. After a show at the Greek in L.A. in 89, You took a few shots backstage of Stevie and Ginny embracing. I remember thinking at the time that it would be wonderful to have one of those pictures. Not sure why I thought of this today after all this time, and I know it’s a long shot, but if by chance you still might have that, it would mean a lot.I now live in Nashville and work at CMT , I think your here as well. If possible, it would mean a lot, If you happen to remember Ginny, you know what a special person she was, thanks Jim F Johnson 615-522-7151
